Date of conviction of murder and aggravated burglary. This was a retrial of those charges. Ms Smith initially stood trial with her co-accused, Mr Corry, but a jury had been unable to reach a verdict on her charges. She was retried separately. Mr Corry's initial conviction of murder was quashed by the Court of Appeal ([2005] QCA 87). His conviction of manslaughter at a retrial, and sentence of 17.5 years' imprisonment, were upheld on appeal ([2006] QCA 203).
