Mr Terare pleaded guilty in the Magistrates Court to serious assault upon a police officer under s 340(1)(b) Criminal Code 1899 (Qld); public nuisance under s 6(1) Summary Offences Act 2005 (Qld) and obstructing a police officer under s 790 Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 (Qld).

Mr Terare was sentenced on the serious assault to three months imprisonment suspended forthwith with an operational period of 12 months. On the remaining charges he was convicted and fined.
