APPEARANCES:

M Leonard, Deputy Industrial Registrar.

THE PRESIDENT: This is an application under section 639(4) of the Industrial Relations Act by the Deputy Industrial Registrar for an order deregistering the Australian Journalists’ Association (Queensland District) Union of Employees.  I am satisfied that all necessary procedural requirements have been met.  I’m satisfied that the organisation has no members, no offices, no assets or liabilities.  It is not a party to any industrial agreements or awards and it is not a peak body.  I’m satisfied it is defunct.  It is appropriate to make the order.  No incidental orders are sought.

I would order that the Australian Journalists’ Association (Queensland District) Union of Employees is deregistered.

VICE PRESIDENT LINNANE:   I agree.

DEPUTY PRESIDENT O'CONNOR:   I agree.

THE PRESIDENT:   Order as per the application.
