Beattie v Director of Public Prosecutions QSC 124
SUPREME COURT OF QUEENSLAND
Originating Application No 167 of 2002
DAVID WILLIAM BEATTIE
THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS (QLD)
HIS HONOUR: This is an application by David William Beattie for a variation of bail conditions which were ordered by this Court on 3 June 2002. Since the date of that order, committal proceedings have been undertaken which resulted in Mr Beattie not being committed on the major charges in respect of which bail had previously been ordered. The respondent to the bail application, the Director of Public Prosecutions does not oppose the application, seeking now that the bail order be revoked.
In respect of the remaining charges for which Mr Beattie is required to attend the Magistrates Court, he has given undertakings about his appearance which are apparently acceptable to the prosecution. In those circumstances, I will make orders in terms of the draft initialled by me and placed with the papers.
