Mr Di Pino was convicted on two counts (counts 1 and 4) of unlawfully and indecently dealing with two female complainants. He was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for count 1 and to a concurrent term of six months imprisonment for count 4, all to be suspended after five months for an operational period of two years.

WAQ brought an application for criminal compensation against Mr Di Pino arising from his conviction for indecent treatment of a child under 16 in respect of her. He was ordered to pay $22,500 compensation in respect of the injuries suffered by WAQ as a result of the offence: McGill DCJ.
