Mr Watt had served 11 years in prison for the rape of a three year old girl. Prior to his release, the Attorney-General (Qld) applied under s 13 of the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 for his continuing detention, or a supervision order. The Court was not satisfied that there was an unacceptable risk that Mr Watt would commit a serious sexual offence and dismissed the application: P Lyons J.
