The plaintiffs sued the State of Queensland, as the proper defendant in respect of the acts and omissions of the QFRS in respect of what was said to be a negligent attempt to extinguish a large chemical fire. The plaintiffs also sued their insurance brokers for a failure to insure. Judgement for the defendants: Dalton J.
